Atar (Pronunciation: [əˈʈɑr]) is a large village in the Valsad district in the Indian state of Gujarat covering 123.27 hectares.

As of 2011 India census,[1][2]. Atar had a population of 765. Males constitute 50.19% of the population and females 49.81%. Atar has an average literacy rate of 79.47%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83.33%, and female literacy is 75.59%. In Atar, 7.84% of the population is under 6 years of age.
