Barath Sanjai Anthony Suresh (born 11 June 2003) is a Sri Lankan professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Langwarrin in the NPL Victoria 2 and the Sri Lanka national football team.
Club career
[edit]Suresh began his senior career in Germany with FC Germania Erftstadt-Lechenich. He later joined Niendorfer TSV II in Hamburg, competing in the German amateur leagues. In 2024, he signed for Langwarrin SC, a club in Australia's NPL Victoria 2.
International career
[edit]Suresh made his senior debut for the Sri Lanka national team in 2022. He has represented Sri Lanka in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches and 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, earning over 12 caps as of mid-2025.
Personal life
[edit]Barath's brother, Rahul Suresh, is also a footballer based in Australia.
