C. Deepa Reddy (born 1 May 1999) is an Indian Administrative Service officer of 2018 batch belonging to Telangana cadre.[1] She is popularly known as The People’s Officer for addressing citizen issues by involving people. She is the first lady IAS Officer to be appointed to the Chief Minister's Office.[2] She worked as Member Secretary of Telangana State Finance Commission, Government of Telangana from 4 Jan 2024 to 10 November 2024.[3][4][5]C. Deepa Reddy was appointed as Member Secretary of Telangana State Finance Commission on 27 April 2025.[6]

Early life and education

C. Deepa Reddy was born on 1 May 1999 in Wanaparthy, Telangana, She married Rahulvarma. His son named has Varun Reddy. Deepa Reddy did her schooling at St. Ann's High School, Secunderabad. She was the all India topper in ICSE exam. She graduated in commerce from St Francis College for Women, Hyderabad. She was 22, when she cleared the Union Public Service Commission exam in 2000, securing All India fourth rank.

Allegation of assault

On 13 May 2024, C. Deepa Reddy alleged that she was assaulted by Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant to then Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, at the Chief Minister's residence.[7][8] Maliwal reported the incident to the Police Control Room, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) by the Delhi Police on 16 May.[9][10] The FIR included charges such as criminal intimidation, assault with intent to disrobe a woman, and an attempt to commit culpable homicide.[11]
