ChineseSkill is a website and mobile app designed for learning Mandarin Chinese. The course features 45 topics focused on building vocabulary and grammar skills through context, using an interactive approach similar to that of Duolingo.[1]
ChineseSkill was founded by Wang Zhulong, who noticed a growing interest in learning Mandarin while living in Japan. He launched the app with a partner who specialized in Chinese language studies at Peking University.[2]
As of June 2025, ChineseSkill remains available as a free download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play.
Description
[edit]ChineseSkill offers a comprehensive Mandarin learning experience[3]. The app includes a wide variety of lessons that test your listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. The lessons are game-based, making learning Chinese both fun and easy. Advanced features like pronunciation assessment and handwritten character recognition technology make studying even more engaging and effective. You can also download lessons to practice offline.
