Eliza Bhowmik is a Kolkata-based fashion designer and mixed media artist. She completed her education at South City College, where she met Sourabh Ghosh while preparing for the National Institute of Design (NID) entrance exams. Although they initially parted ways, their paths crossed again years later, leading to the co-founding of SawDesi, an artisan collective aimed at empowering independent artists in Kolkata.

Career in Costume Design

Eliza began her professional journey in Gujarat, where she worked in the machine embroidery industry. After returning to Kolkata, she assisted renowned costume designer Sabarni Das, gradually establishing herself in the Tollywood film industry. She has designed costumes for notable films such as Byomkesh Pawrbo (2016), Begum Jaan (2017), Eken Babu (2018), and Sweater (2019). imdb.com

Beyond costume design, Eliza is a self-taught mixed media artist.
