From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

EnGarde Games is a cross-national creative studio operating as two legally registered companies:

  • EnGarde Games Ltd, based in the United Kingdom, and
  • EnGarde Games, MB, based in Lithuania.

The studio specializes in the creation of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), tactical board games, and collectible card games (CCGs), all set in the high-fantasy Renaissance-inspired world of Caldrith. EnGarde Games is known for combining historical drama with dark fantasy elements, featuring swordplay, magic, political intrigue, and monsters. The universe of EnGarde is unified across all game products and future digital expansions.

History and Formation

[edit]

EnGarde Games was founded by Arūnas Girdziušas, a Lithuanian writer, editor, and game designer. His vision was to create a richly detailed fantasy world inspired by XVth–XVIIth century European society, mythology, and aesthetics. Drawing influence from both Baltic folklore and Western European literature, Girdziušas began developing Caldrith, the core setting of all EnGarde titles.

To support international collaboration and distribution, the company was established under two legal entities:

  • EnGarde Games, MB, registered in Lithuania, serves as the creative and design hub, focused on writing, game development, and art direction.
  • EnGarde Games Ltd, registered in the UK, handles international publishing, digital distribution, and marketing operations.
