  • Comment: It appears that he has had an important impact at his university. However, being Dean is not an automatic qualification for a Wikipedia page in the WP:NPROF criteria. He dies not have that significant a publication record that I can find, or major awards. If he had the latter then it might justify notability. Ldm1954 (talk) 07:34, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

George E. Nasr is a Lebanese-American engineer and academic administrator who currently serves as the Provost of the Lebanese American University (LAU).

Early life and education

[edit]

·  Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) – University of Kentucky (1985)

·  Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering – University of Kentucky (1988)

His research during his graduate studies focused on neural networks, mathematical modeling, and optimization.

Academic Career

[edit]

After completing his doctorate, Nasr started his academic career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky (1988-1991). He later moved to Valdosta State University (1991-1993) before joining the Lebanese American University (LAU) in 1993 [1].

Key Contributions at LAU
