Overview

[edit]

HIVED is a fully electric delivery company, founded by Murvah Iqbal and Mathias Krieger in 2021, tailored to meet modern ecommerce needs.[1] The company works within sustainable logistics and offers nationwide parcel collection across the UK.[2] HIVED operates an electric fleet of multi-modal vehicles, including light goods vehicles (LGVs) and electric heavy goods vehicles (e-HGVs)[3]. A key feature of HIVED’s delivery model is an entirely electric middle-mile operation.

Operations

[edit]

HIVED has delivered millions of parcels in London, partnering with major retailers such as ASOS and Nespresso[4][5]. The service is designed to prioritise sustainability-as-standard and to enhance the delivery experience for consumers.

Investment and Growth

[edit]

HIVED is supported by several industry investors, including Maersk Growth (the venture capital division of A.P. Moller - Maersk), Yamato, Pale Blue Dot, and Planet A Ventures.[6][7][8]

Sustainability and Impact

[edit]

HIVED’s fleet consists exclusively of electric vehicles, which contribute to lower emissions compared to traditional diesel vehicles.[9] A 2023 Life Cycle Assessment noted that HIVED deliveries can reduce carbon emissions by up to 76% compared to conventional alternatives.[10] In addition to fleet electrification, the company collaborates with organisations focused on mitigating various environmental impacts of road transport, such as tire recycling and particulate matter capture.[11]
