Info-Tech Research Group is a research and advisory firm that provides information technology (IT) and human resources (HR) services to enterprise and mid-sized organizations..[1] The company is headquartered in London, Ontario, Canada[2] with offices in Toronto,[3] Arlington (Virginia),[4] London (United Kingdom),[5] and Sydney (Australia).[6][7] As of 2025, Info-Tech employs more than 1,400 individuals.[8]
History
[edit]Info-Tech was founded in 1997[9] by Joel McLean in London, Ontario. The company was originally focused on providing IT research for chief information officers (CIOs) and technology professionals.[10] In the early 2000s, Info-Tech expanded by opening a Toronto office and launched advisory services in 2008. In 2010, the company launched McLean & Company, a division focused on human resources research.[11]
In 2013, Info-Tech acquired the historic Masonic Temple in Toronto, formerly used by MTV Canada, for use as its Toronto office.[12] [13] In 2019, the firm expanded its office in London, Ontario, relocating to a renovated hosiery factory in the city’s technology district.[14] The space was later recognized with a Design Excellence Award by the Ontario Association of Architects.[15]
In the 2020s, Info-Tech expanded its service offerings to include AI-powered tools[16][17] and broadened its HR initiatives.[18] In 2025, it expanded its annual conference, Info-Tech LIVE, to new locations including Las Vegas and Barcelona.[19]
