Kobe Michael Sanders is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the Cal Poly Mustangs and Nevada Wolf Pack.
Early life and high school
[edit]Sanders attended Christian High School located in San Diego, California. During his senior season, he averaged 16.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Ultimately, Sanders committed to play college basketball for the Cal Poly Mustangs.[1]
College career

[edit]During his four year career with the Mustangs from 2020 through 2024, Sanders appeared in 100 games with 71 starts, where he averaged 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, with a career-high of 35 points, while also earning All-Big West Honorable Mention honors after averaging 19.6 points per game in his final season with the team.[2][1] After the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, he decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[1]
Nevada
[edit]Sanders transferred to play for the Nevada Wolf Pack.[3] On November 22, 2024, he scored ten points including the game-winning three in a 64-61 victory over VCU.[4] On February 22, 2025, Sanders scored 30 points, however the Wolf Pack would fall to Boise State 70-69.[5] On February 25, 2025, he tallied 27 points in a win over Wyoming.[6] Sanders finished the 2024-25 season, averaging 15.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, where for his performance he was named third team all-Mountain West.[7] After the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, he declared for the 2025 NBA draft while also accepting an invite to participate in the 2025 NBA scouting combine.[8]
