He gained an online following through streaming platforms and was noted as a rising figure in the emo rap scene before his death in 2025.
Career
[edit]LucidPP began releasing music in late 2024. His breakout single, Being Alone, received attention on streaming services and was praised for its vivid lyrical imagery and emotional intensity. In 2025, LucidPP collaborated with Young Thug on the track "Roll It Up" under the YSL Dynasty label, marking his first posthumous release. His EPs Pills & Poems and Funeral were both released shortly after his death.
Death
[edit]LucidPP died in a studio fire on April 17, 2025. According to a statement by PPRecords and YSL Entertainment, the fire was caused by an electrical surge inside a soundproofed home studio, making escape difficult.
