Matt Zeller is the Country President for Novartis in Australia and New Zealand.[1]

Education

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, where he double majored in Human and Organizational Development and Philosophy. He also holds an MBA from Duke University, specializing in Health Sector Management, with focuses in Decision Sciences and Strategy.[2]

Career

He previously was President for Novarrtis of the Europe Central Cluster and Hungary, and served as a Board member of both the American and Swiss Chambers of Commerce in Hungary, as well as the Hungarian Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.[3][4] Within Novartis, Matt has held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Director for U.S. Cardiovascular National Hospital Accounts, Vice President and Head of U.S. Patient and Specialty Services, Head of U.S. Sales and Marketing for the COPD franchise, and Director of Global Pharma Strategy based in Switzerland.[5][6]

Before joining Novartis, he was a Principal in the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), working in their New Jersey and Shanghai offices with a focus on biopharmaceutical commercial strategy and brand revitalization.[7][8] Earlier in his career, he held roles in hospital marketing in Washington D.C., worked in the non-profit sector in Buenos Aires, and was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Lilly in Georgia. Matt played baseball for Tim Corbin at Vanderbilt University and also played professionally for the Evansville Otters of the Independent Frontier League before suffering a career-ending ankle injury.
