Mission Green Global (MGG) is a youth-led, international environmental 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to building a greener, more sustainable world. Founded in 2023, this organization strives to address urgent and impending global challenges, to raise awareness for skyrocketing carbon emission levels[1], the widespread deforestation[2] that our world is currently experiencing, the alarming extinction risk faced by nearly one million species[3], and the escalating rate of air and water pollution.[4]
Mission Green Global is recognized by the UN and has been accepted into the United States Climate Action Network, and have partnered with the Women’s Climate Action Network for the Global Women’s Assembly for Climate Justice: Path to COP30 and Beyond!

Projects
[edit]- In 2023, Mission Green Global's DC chapter organized a book drive, collecting over 1,400 books, which were donated to Better World Books. By 2025, chapters across the world collected and donated 20,000+ books.
- Throughout June, 2024, Mission Green Global conducted interactive workshops at local elementary schools, utilizing creative and engaging activities, such as mind-mapping and scavenger hunts, to teach young students about environmental issues and sustainability. Participating schools included:
- In partnership with A Forever Home Animal Shelter in July 2024, Mission Green Global hosted a Pet Adoption Day. The event attracted over 30 attendees and aimed to increase pet adoption rates, ensuring domesticated animals found safe and loving homes.
- In November, 2024, the Mission Green Global Chapter located in Bujanovac, Serbia organized a lake cleanup event with nearly 60 volunteers. Activities included collecting discarded trash, installing waste bins, and creating vibrant murals and informative posters to encourage environmental stewardship in the community.
- On June 14, 2025, Mission Green Global released a documentary that featured the work their chapters have been doing across the world, looking at projects and events conducted by 15+ countries.
Volunteering Programs
[edit]Mission Green Global offers a variety of volunteering programs designed to empower individuals to make a positive impact on the environment. These programs not only provide students with accessible opportunities to earn service hours but also aim to educate participants about pressing environmental challenges. Through hands-on activities, participants connect with peers, engage with their communities, and contribute to building a more sustainable society.
Mission Green Global's programs encourage active involvement in environmental advocacy and education through the following activities:
- Environmental Awareness Blogs: Participants will research and write brief blogs about environmental issues of their choosing.
- Eco-Friendly Outreach: Volunteers will contact local restaurants and eateries to advocate for a transition from single-use plastics to more sustainable alternatives, such as biodegradable materials.
- DIY Dog Toys for Shelters: Participants will create dog toys using recycled cloth or T-shirts and donate them to animal shelters.
- Bake Sales for the Planet: Volunteers will organize and promote bake sales to raise funds and awareness for environmental nonprofits.
