Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Proctology in India
Proctology is a subspecialty of general surgery focused on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the rectum, anus, and colon. In India, this field has seen a growing number of dedicated clinics and specialized approaches aimed at treating conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and fistulas.
Among the institutions contributing to this trend is Healing Hands Clinic, founded in 2009 by colorectal surgeon Dr. Ashwin Porwal in Pune, Maharashtra. The clinic has been noted in Indian health media for its use of minimally invasive techniques in proctology, including procedures such as Laser Hemorrhoidoplasty (LHP) and Fistula Laser Closure (FiLaC).[1]
The clinic has been cited in national health publications for its treatment of complex anal fistulas using laser-based methods that aim to reduce recurrence.[2] Healing Hands Clinic is one of several facilities in India offering proctology-focused services within the general surgery landscape.
