From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rollz International B.V. is a Dutch company based in Delft that designs and manufactures mobility aids, including rollators and transport chairs. Established in the early 2010s, the company distributes its products internationally.

History

[edit]

The company's first product, the Rollz Motion, was introduced as a combination rollator and wheelchair.[1][2] The founders reportedly had backgrounds in product design and sought to create devices that combined functional support with visual appeal.[3][4]

[edit]
  • Rollz Motion: A rollator that converts into a wheelchair.
  • Rollz Flex: A rollator with a shopping bag and adjustable handle, updated in 2023.[5]
  • Rollz Motion Rhythm: A version equipped with cueing technologies for users with neurological conditions.[6][7]
  • Rollz Motion Electric: A motorized version of the Rollz Motion.

Research and Development

[edit]

Rollz International incorporates design and health research into its product development. The Rollz Motion Rhythm includes features designed to assist with freezing of gait in people with Parkinson’s disease.[12] The company has participated in healthcare and assistive technology exhibitions, including the Abilities Expo.[13]

Global Presence

[edit]

As of 2023, the company distributes its products in over 20 countries.[14] A UK-based subsidiary was launched to support operations in that region.[15] Rollz products have also been exhibited at the Abilities Expo.[16]
