Sonic Blitz is an upcoming digital collectible card game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise developed by Rovio Entertainment and published by Sega. The game was released early for those in the Philippines, and is set to release worldwide on Android and iOS at a later date.
Gameplay
[edit]Sonic Blitz is a turn-based digital collectible card game that focuses on multiplayer; players form custom decks of playing cards depicting characters from the Sonic franchise with varying statistics. Each player uses their cards to deplete their opponent's health. Being themed around speed, players can finish their turn by performing a "dash", which inflicts extra damage to the opponent.[1]
Development
[edit]On January 29, 2025, Sega filed a trademark for the title "Sonic Blitz".[2] Nintendo Life and Comicbook.com both predicted that this would be another mobile game, following Sonic Rumble.[2][3] On June 2, it was announced that Sonic Blitz would be soft launched for iOS and Android devices in the Philippines.[4]
