Yakshamo Ata (erz. Якшамо Атя) - The Erzya equivalent of Santa Claus. The origin of its name is from two words of the Erzya language (якшамо - cold, Атя - grandfather).

Yakshamo Ata residence is located in the village of Kiviv, Ulyanovsk region. The meeting of guests and the holding of festive events take place there. Yakshamo Ata is depicted as a gray-haired elder dressed in traditional clothes with Mordovian national ornaments. His granddaughter is named Lovon-Styrnya.
