Durango is an unincorporated community in western Falls County, Texas, United States. It lies along Farm to Market Road 935.
Durango Trivia It is quite likely that Hollywood Movies Script Writer Louis Stevens (writer) had this community in his mind when he wrote up the title to his 4th last movie - also his 3rd last Western movie - when he gave his script the working title of Last Gun in Durango which became the 1957 Hollywood Movie Gun Duel in Durango. In that film's script, the lead role character - which was played by George Montgomery (actor) - carried the name of Will Sabre, but to change the nature of his life from outlaw to just a regular law abiding citizen, Sabre adopts the alias of Dan Tomlinson. Ironically, the nearby community of Tomlinson Hill lays just to the east of Durango, Texas, within the same Texas county!
