"Feuer am Horizont" (English: Fire on the Horizon) is the debut single by German pop singer Helene Fischer, released on January 2006, through the labels EMI and Electrola. The single was written and produced by Jean Frankfurter, with additional help from Irma Holder.[1] Taken from her debut studio album, "Von hier bis unendlich" (2006), this schalger and euro-pop-filled single talks about a man who is torn between an old lover and her, their current love being at risk of fading away.[2] The song title itself symbolizes the fire in the relationship being strong to create a "horizon".[3]
The single was issued as a promotional single only, failing to chart in its domestic charts or charts of neighboring countries.[4] The song was the first single to launch Fischer into the world of schlager music, the song also being performed on many TV shows that specialized in musical competition, as well as schlager TV shows.
Recording sessions and mixing took place at Tanusstudio, a studio that Jean Frankenfurter owned.[5] All songs on "Von hier bis unendlich" were recorded in the studio as well. Lyrics were written by Irma Holder, and Jean Frankenfurter.[6] The single was produced by Jean Frankenfurter as well.[7]
