Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description Janet Hodgson, artist and filmmaker 1960–2016
Author or
copyright owner
unknown
Source (WP:NFCC#4) Original publication: unknown (I found it on her obituary by University of Kent)

Immediate source: https://blogs.kent.ac.uk/smfa-news/2016/04/07/tribute-to-janet-hodgson-artist-and-teacher/

Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Janet Hodgson
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) for visual identification of the person in question, at the top of their biographical article
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
I was unable to find a free alternative after an online search for an image. The person depicted is deceased, so it is not possible to create a photo of her. I have no way of finding an image of her nor of contacting her heirs, if any, for an image (and I live on a different continent than the one where she was from)
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) This is an older photograph of her. It's to be used at the top of the article as a means of visual identification of the person depicted who is now deceased. It's a small sized file within fair use specifications, and it is low resolution.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
The image has no commercial value, and its use is for educational purposes only. It is small sized, black and white and low resolution. Its use will not harm any commercial opportunities of the person who made the photograph.
Other information The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: 2016
