Summary

Description

Built and operated by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, 'Tornado' is a new build Peppercorn A1 pacific, and since entering service in 2009 she has become one of the most well known steam locomotives in the UK. She is seen hauling 'The Magna Carta' railtour from Kings Cross to Lincoln. The train was booked to run along the GNGE route through Spalding, but due to "a Police incident" at Sleaford she was rerouted along the ECML to Newark and then across to Lincoln. So I therefore caught her at Helpston, on the ECML some five miles North of Peterborough, as she headed across the S&C to begin her journey along the Down Slow.
