Grave House is a collaborative mixtape by Sematary & Ghost Mountain, the original founders of horrorcore collective, Haunted Mound. It was released on August 16, 2019[2] but later removed on streaming platforms after Ghost Mountain's departure from the collective.[3] On April 18, 2025, the project along with other Sematary & Ghost Mountain projects were re-released onto streaming platforms.[4]

Background

[edit]

The mixtape was produced entirely by Sematary and takes inspiration from artists such as Chief Keef, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and witch house band Salem. Other influences on the production include plugg producers MexikoDro & StoopidXool[5].

Ghost Mountain Conflict

[edit]

On July 6th, 2021, it was announced through a Haunted Mound Discord server that the project along with Hundred Acre Wrist was taken down following Ghost Mountain's departure from the collective. Sematary would later tell a fan on Instagram that he believed the songs were worthless and that he wouldn't be able to perform them live without Ghost Mountain.[6] A fan in January 2022 would reach out to Ghost Mountain with him stating that his departure was due to Sematary's ego and use of misogyny in his music which he claimed brought massive issues for him and others in his life.[7] In late 2024, it was confirmed Ghost Mountain had rejoined Haunted Mound and made up with Sematary with the release of "Apollon" and "Dark Harvest", which served as the lead singles to his debut mixtape, "October County".[8] Following this release would be "The Wagoner EP", a compilation of tracks originally never released onto streaming. Grave House and Hundred Acre Wrist would be re-released onto streaming platforms on April 18th, 2025.[9]
