Full name Scott James Mean
Position(s) Midfielder

Scott Mean (born 13 December 1973) is an English football midfielder who began his career with Bournemouth, where his form and potential earnt him a £100,000 move to Premiership side West Ham United in 1996. At West Ham he was highly rated and seen as having a promising career ahead of him at the top level. He was loaned to Port Vale then in the Championship at the begining of the 1998/99 season to gain experience. However after 80 minutes of his Port Vale debut he suffered an injury that would virtually end his career as a professional footballer. He returned to West Ham after this and although he recovered to play again he was never the same player and was released at the end of the season. He returned to previous club Bournemouth for just over a season playing 40 games in all competitions and scoring 4 goals, unfortunately injuries were limiting his performances and he dropped into the non-league having spells with Kingstonian then in the Conference and Crawley Town before retiring from the competitive game altogther.
