'Koren' or 'Koireng', is one of the many languages spoken in Manipur state of Northeastern India by the Koren community. Koren are particularly close to Aimol, Purum and Kharam.[citation needed] The speakers of this language use Meitei language as their second language (L2) according to the Ethnologue.[2]
