Business career

[edit]

Schwartz began his career working at Boston Consulting Group in 1987.[6]

In 1993, he joined L’Oréal,[1] becoming overall marketing director in 1995.[7]

From 2002 to 2005, Schwartz was brand director at Sainsbury's.[7][8]

Schwartz was CEO and chairman of The Body Shop from 2013 to 2018.[9]

For eight months in 2018-2019, Schwartz was COO of Pandora (not CEO as erroneously claimed on his LinkedIn).[10]

As of 2021, he is chairman for Sustainable Transformation at Kantar.[11]

On 18 September 2024, Coca-Cola filed a claim in court against Schwartz related to Intellectual Property, notably passing off and trade marks.[12] Schwartz did not “invent Coca-Cola Zero,” as previously claimed, and is now saying that he “introduced” it which is more in line with what someone in his marketing role might do.
