KC Monnie[1] (March 27, 1989) is an American director, choreographer, actor and former dancer. He began his career as part of the cast of the TV show Glee, appearing in productions of No Strings Attached (2011), Friends with Benefits (2011), La La Land (2016) and The Prom (2020).
He was also the choreographer of the 2024 Gold Over America Tour of the Olympic gymnasts Simon Biles.
Career
[edit]KC has been creating and working professionally in the industry for 17 years. Most recently he choreographed Simon Biles and the Olympic gymnasts in the “Gold Over America Tour” 2024. He had the pleasure of choreographing for Disney’s Disenchanted, RuPaul's Drag Race, Broadway’s Savor After Hours, and the new Vegas show “Love and Laughter” with Toni Braxton and Cedric the Entertainer.
He was featured on season 16 of So You Think You Can Dance, receiving a standing ovation for his duet and was awarded the Emerging Choreographer at the World Choreography Awards.[2] Other credits include Dancing with the Stars (American TV series), The Masked Singer, American Idol, Shania Twain’s Rock This Country Tour and Cirque du Soleil.
