Looking is an American comedy-drama television series about a group of gay friends living in San Francisco.[1] It premiered on January 19, 2014, on HBO.[2][3][4] The series' executive producers are David Marshall Grant, Sarah Condon, and Andrew Haigh.[5]

Production

HBO ordered an eight-episode first season of Looking on May 14, 2013.[9] The pilot was written by Michael Lannan, based on Lannan's 2011 short film entitled Lorimer, and directed by Andrew Haigh. Filming began in the San Francisco Bay Area on September 16, 2013, and ended on November 7, 2013.[10]

Patrick (Groff) discuss the impending wedding of his ex with his best friends Agustín (Alvarez) and Dom (Bartlett). Agustín agrees to move in with his boyfriend Frank (Fagbenle) but wonders if domesticating is the right move. Dom tells his roommate Doris (Weedman) that he’s thinking of reconnecting with old flame Ethan (Ray), who has a successful real-estate career. Broadcast

Looking premiered the same time for HBO Latin America and HBO Canada as it did in the United States, with Australia's Foxtel Showcase premiering the same day on Monday January 20, 2014 after 8PM.[15] New Zealand's Sky Television SoHo is three days behind on Thursday January 23, 2014 at 9PM.[16] The United Kingdom's Sky Atlantic is a week behind on Monday January 27, 2014.[17]
