McAfee Institute

McAfee Institute is an American professional certification and training organization founded in 2010 by Joshua McAfee.[1] It provides online education programs for professionals working in intelligence, investigations, law enforcement, cybersecurity, and corporate security fields. The Institute offers certifications in areas such as cyber intelligence, open-source intelligence (OSINT), cryptocurrency investigations, human trafficking investigations, and workplace violence prevention.

McAfee Institute offers a range of online certification programs targeted at professionals in law enforcement, military, intelligence, cybersecurity, private investigation, and corporate sectors.[2] The Institute’s programs cover topics including:

Accreditation and Listings

McAfee Institute's programs are accredited by the Missouri Department of Education,[4] and by the Missouri Department of Public Safety.[5]

The Institute’s certifications are also listed in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS), administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,[6] and approved by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer professional development credits.[7]
