Ricardo Carvalho is a Portuguese football player. He was born on 18 May,1978 in Amarante, near Porto, as his colleague in Portuguese National Team Nuno Gomes. He plays as a defender and was considered one of the best defenders of Euro 2004 Championship, along Jorge Andrade. Actually he plays for Futebol Clube do Porto, but is wanted by major european teams such as Real Madrid.
