Peter Lewis is a Cleveland, Ohio area-based Chairman of Progressive Insurance Companies. With a estimated net worth in excess of a billion dollars (U.S.), he frequently donates money to many charities including the American Civil Liberties Union and MoveOn.org. He is also a patron of the arts, and supports many artistic pursuits.

Mr. Lewis was detained in New Zealand for illegal possession of marijuana, but later released. Lewis is a long time advocate of marijuana use and legalization.
