Shrimati or Shreematy (Sanskrit: श्रीमती or श्रीमति, pronounced [ʃɾiːmɐt̪iː]), abbreviated Smt., is an Indian honorific (akin to Mrs. in English) referring to an adult woman in some Indian languages like Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, Sanskrit, Telugu, and Tulu.[1]
