Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:JJMC89. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 17:32, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

- The reason the Red Wings logo was removed from the userbox you created by JJMC89 bot was because that file is licensed as non-free content and non-free content can only be used when it complies with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy; more specifically, non-free content can only be used in the article namespace per non-free content use criterion #9. So, this means it cannot be used in userboxes as explained here. You seem to be a relatively new editor and nobody is expecting a relatively new user to have all of Wikipedia's various policies and guidelines memorized; in fact, nobody is expecting a more experienced user to have done that. However, when an edit is made that you don't quite understand, there might have been an edit summary left like this which explains why. Of course, even an edit summary can sometimes be hard to understand, and in such cases it's perfectly OK to try and seek further clarification from the editor who made the edit. What you actually posted on JJMC89's user talk page probably was just posted out of frustration, and everybody gets frustrated every now and then. If, however, you make a habit out of "getting frustrated" and posting uncivil comments on talk pages, particularly the user talk pages of Wikipedia administrators like JJMC89, then you may find your account being blocked without warning. Your user page and its subpages are not "your stuff" in an ownership sense as explained here, but other editors will leave them be for the most part as long as you don't try and use them in ways they're not supposed to be used or add content to them that's not supposed to be added. If you want to add an image to the userbox you created, then perhaps you'll find one in c:Category:Detroit Red Wings that would work. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:02, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
