Malformed AfD
Not sure what happened here, but the AfD didn't go through. Please renominate it if that's your goal. Technical reasons are the only reasons I've reverted. Star Mississippi 02:42, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
'Nduja
Hi JackkBrown; sorry to write to you, but reading a few pages about Italian foods on the English, Italian and Spanish wikis, I noticed that several of these have often been targeted by users or IPs inserting non-NPOVs apparently all attributable to the same agenda of clear French chauvinist origin; or in any case interested in wanting to eliminate the Italian origin of specific foods always using the same methods. And having noticed that you yourself have had to deal with the aforementioned on the pages of Porchetta and Orzo, I thought I would also warn you about the page 'Nduja, because apparently this too has been targeted by a user with the same agenda.
Furthermore, checking a bit the previous vandalizations of other Italian foods always carried out with similar methods and following the same agenda, I came to suspect that these were all carried out by sockpuppets attributable to the same well-known master banned several times, namely this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Xiaomichel/Archive
Also take a look at his talk page to better understand the subject: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Xiaomichel
I hope you can report or expose the case to the to the right person.
Best regards. Riker4 (talk) 06:11, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Riker4: thank you very much. I'm one of the greatest defenders of Italian cuisine, so don't worry. JacktheBrown (talk) 15:05, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- It's nice to know that there are knowledgeable people like you, @JackkBrown, trying to bring certain vandalisms back to normal. Unfortunately, the individual in question is poisoning several wikis with his chauvinistic propaganda, and he does so in a sneaky way, by inserting "sources" that in reality do not say at all what he claims. Thanks again for your efforts. I will keep an eye on some pages and will contact you if needed. Have a nice day. Riker4 (talk) 15:53, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Riker4: thank you very much. This situation started in 2023 (here are the pages affected (but not sunk): Talk:'Nduja#Origin of 'nduja; for bagna càuda I found a compromise, while for orzo without a response from the user I can't proceed; obviously I don't want to give them years to answer me). JacktheBrown (talk) 15:59, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- I saw. He is clearly a user obsessed with Italy, towards which he has some sort of complex. And it is clearly still the same person. Someone should take action in some way, given that he is also an easy subject to identify, even if he has a new sockpuppet every day. Riker4 (talk) 16:37, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Riker4: I advise you to start a new procedure, the previous one dates back to 2023 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Xiaomichel/Archive); be sure to report all accounts that resemble them within the pages I have inserted here: Talk:'Nduja#Origin of 'nduja. JacktheBrown (talk) 16:52, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I am not so experienced to be able to open new procedures. However I would still be able to easily identify accounts attributable to the subject in question. Riker4 (talk) 17:01, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Riker4: try to discuss it with some administrators. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:10, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks again. Riker4 (talk) 18:42, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Riker4: you're welcome.

I saw that you tried to nominate this article for deletion as a BLP with no sources. Unfortunately, you messed up the nomination by placing it in an existing AfD page. You're supposed to create a separate page. You also need to notify the article creator and add the nomination to the daily log. Usually, all of this is automated using Twinkle. I've never tried using Twinkle on mobile; there is a section on the linked page with instructions for using it on mobile, but I don't know how well it works. If it doesn't, you'll have to do it manually by following the instructions at WP:AFDHOWTO.
There is also a special deletion process for unsourced BLPs, WP:BLPPROD. This isn't mandatory – AfD is fine, too – but it avoids the need for a deletion discussion. I have now proposed deletion of Marina Massironi using BLPPROD. The article will be deleted in a week unless "a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article" is added. If a reliable source is added, and you still want the article deleted for some other reason (e.g. lack of notability), it has to go through AfD. Un assiolo (talk) 15:24, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Un assiolo: thank you very much. JacktheBrown (talk) 15:27, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- I made a mistake, the IMDb link under "External links" made it ineligible for BLPPROD. IMDb is not a reliable source, but BLPPROD requires no sources at all, reliable or otherwise. Just wanted to let you know, so you don't make the same mistake yourself. In any case, a reliable source has now been added. --Un assiolo (talk) 21:43, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Un assiolo: yes, I realised; I also added the "One source" template. JacktheBrown (talk) 22:05, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Alice Bellandi
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Alice Bellandi. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please, stop replacing infobox links with less specific ones. CLalgo (talk) 18:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
