:Bwahahahaha! "Bare in mind" (lol to fuk, you incompetent turd) "the graciousness of the British judiciary" ??? Gimme a break from your well-meaning but wholly misguided quasi-authoritarian wank. There are a number of complete assholes who inhabit the hallowed halls of Wikipedia, and it's hugely obvious that you are one of them. Have you ever been properly arrested, but with added false charges invented by the coppers ([[ACAB]]) to make a case to the [[Crown Prosecution Office|CPO]], hauled up before the beak, and duly sentenced? I have. Several times. I can never travel to the USA because of my criminal record, which involves knife crime, bladed articles etc. That may be a good thing. I reckon you don't even live in this country (ie [[The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland]], because of your wildly inaccurate view of the justiciary and how it works in reality. I strongly suggest you fuck off and die. Yeah, complain, bitch. Whatever you might think, this is not, repeat NOT a "safe website". There's cunts like me around, and I'm not alone. A vast mediaeval barn

Did I ever thank you for the barn? If I didn't, then thank you, I appreciate it greatly. My maternal grandparents used to live in a (rather less vast) mediaeval barn. If I did, then what the hell, thank you again. DuncanHill (talk) 23:13, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@DuncanHill: I don't think it matters: that massive edifice is its own thank you for something *you* did, I don't remember what. Thanks for the thanks, anyway. Best, MinorProphet (talk) 12:30, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on German Army WWII radios/German Army WWII radios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. A little terse

You may have found my replies at talk:Old Style and New Style dates a little terse. That was for two reasons. The main one was that I was replying on mobile, which is fag at the best of times. The secondary one is that I prefer to keep off-topic stuff for personal talk pages.

You can read about my user name at [drumroll] User:JMF#My user-name. The choice of typeface reflects my interests in typography and symbols generally, MS&T, visual arts and because I just like it. It has been around for such a long time that I didn't think there would be anything left that can't reproduce it. TBH, not being able to see my sig is the least of your worries, you have the equivalent of a "shoot me" sign on your back for internet "bad actors".

I don't really have much interest in currencies per se; my interest is in currency symbols.. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:31, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gerda Arendt: Hi, is it that long? Thanks for remembering, I really appreciate it. Only yesterday I upgraded my status to {{15 Year topicon}} (it's actually 16 years). Hope you are well and enjoying things. MinorProphet (talk) 07:08, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. See my talk, and I haven't even added tonight's concert to sing - probably tomorrow. Haydn Stabat Mater Limburg Cathedral. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:17, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Collett family

Thanks for the well-meant and no doubt laborious edit on Talk:Collett family. Just two problems:

  • What you've edited was meant to be an unedited reference copy of how the section started off, so anyone with better Norwegian skills than mine can check what I've done, and
  • I was told rather firmly that I shouldn't change from plain text to a citation template without getting consensus first!

(Also it's not safe to assume all the items are in Norwegian—some may be in Danish.)

I'm now debating whether it's best to revert your edit, which I think would delete your comment too, or paste the original text back in. Reverting seems safest, though. Musiconeologist (talk) 19:43, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Musiconeologist: Please revert, I got the feeling it was a waste of time anyway. Best, MinorProphet (talk) 19:48, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I will. Thanks for having a go though. I didn't want to simply obliterate the work and the comment without letting you know why first. Musiconeologist (talk) 19:51, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Now done. Musiconeologist (talk) 19:56, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Vchimpanzee

If you look at the RD history, you will see that Vchimpanzee will not "get there in the end" as you suggested. He will keep making vague statements and claiming that no assistance works, attempting to string out the conversation as long as possible. 68.187.174.155 (talk) 19:25, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, it's easy to be misled: maybe increasingly forceful suggestions to wander away and procreate instead might help clear the decks...? MinorProphet (talk) 19:48, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edit - Vandalism ~ eroding the England & Wales public’s confidence in the judiciary or current government in power ~

Hello @MinorProphet,

I have reverted your edit on Magistrate (England and Wales) as it may violate a myriad of rules on Wikipedia.

1. Neutral Point of View (NPOV) Violation: Wikipedia requires all content to be written from a Neutral Point of View. This also extends to the edit summaries. If an editor's summary includes biased language or expresses political opinions, it goes against the principle of NPOV, which is foundational to Wikipedia's content. Example Violation: Using an edit summary like "Removed this liberal nonsense" would violate NPOV and may be considered biased or inflammatory.

2. Personal Opinion: Wikipedia encourages editors to focus on facts and verifiable information rather than personal opinions. An edit summary that expresses a personal opinion or subjective viewpoint is inappropriate and may be seen as disruptive. Example Violation: "I don't like this change, so I reverted it."

3. Unprofessional or Inappropriate Language: Edit summaries should be professional and respectful. Use of offensive language, insults, or personal attacks can violate Wikipedia's civility guidelines. Personal opinions or unprofessional language could lead to the edit being reverted and may cause the editor to be warned or blocked. Example Violation: "This is a stupid edit, I’m fixing it." 4.

Disruption of the Collaborative Process: Wikipedia is a collaborative platform, and editors should communicate in a way that promotes constructive editing. Personal opinions, politically charged remarks, or unprofessional comments in edit summaries can be seen as disruptive to the collaborative editing process. Example Violation: If someone edits a political article and uses an edit summary like "Finally, the truth is being told," it could be considered disruptive.

5. Violation of Wikipedia's Behavioural Guidelines: Wikipedia has behavioral guidelines like Assume Good Faith and Be Civil, which apply to both content and communication. Using an edit summary to express hostility, political views, or personal opinion could violate these guidelines, resulting in warnings or sanctions.

Example Violation: ‘Ever been sentenced by a beak through the false witness (ie perjury) of some insane neighbour, a corrupt copper and the CPS eager for a conviction ? ACAB’

Bare in mind, all of the above is derived by your recent contribution to the site. It is empirical that those who may seek to evade Wikipedia, such as anonymously vandalising literature, may have IP addresses and LANs traced to a defined location and blacklisted for a defined period of time.

I refer you to Wikipedia’s guidelines to not only secure the graciousness of the British judiciary or the UK population’s trust in it, but to keep Wikipedia a safe place.

Thank you for keeping this a safe website.

Thank you for less myths more music for the Gymnopédies! I didn't know where to start, and what you did was what needed. - Reasons to look at Bach (and listen): it's a recent GA (no by me), he assumed the position of Thomaskantor OTD in 1723, he's up for PR, and several of his cantatas for GA, and his Easter Oratorio for FAC, -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:12, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
