Submission declined on 10 June 2025 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Theroadislong 17 days ago. | ![]() |
Kamino Running Co., also known as Kamino Running Club, is a community-based running organization based in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada.[1] Founded in late 2023, the group organizes public running events and social runs throughout the Tri-Cities region of Metro Vancouver.[2]
History
[edit]Kamino Running Co. was established in November 2023 by Daniel Simpson, a local runner aiming to provide more structured opportunities for community engagement through running in the Coquitlam area.[1] The name derives from El Camino Drive, the street where Simpson grew up.[3] In late 2024, the organization held its first public race event at Mundy park called the "Rudolph Run".[3]
Events
[edit]
Following the Rudolph Run, Kamino organized the Royal Rocky Point Race in March 2025, a 5-kilometre event in Port Moody intended to engage the local running community.[2]
