Dodo Payments is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that offers a Merchant of Record service for companies that sell online digital products. The company was founded in 2024 and is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

History and Funding

Dodo Payments was founded in 2023 by Rishabh Goel and Ayush Agarwal..[1]This Bengaluru-based fintech startup has raised $1.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Antler, 9Unicorns and Venture Catalysts[2][3]

Nitin Gupta (Uni Cards and PayU), Maninder Gulati (former Oyo CSO/Lightspeed), Raymond Russell (former Chief of Staff at Boom Supersonic), Preethi Kasireddy (former Partner, a16z), and Nishant Verman (former Flipkart CorpDev head) have also participated.[4]

Products and Services

Dodo Payment’s platform claims to offer a cross-border payment solution for Software as a service (SaaS), global marketplaces, offering more than 25 local payment methods in 14 languages and covering 86% of the global population.[5]

In addition to being PCI-DSS compliant, the startup aims to secure global certifications such as SOC 2, GDPR and ISO standards.[6][7]
