Steven Ralph Schimmel (born August 23, 1983) is an American Jewish community leader.

Early life and education

Schimmel was born August 23, 1983, in Conroe, Texas.[1] He attended Gloucester County Institute of Technology and was elected to the GCIT Wall of Fame in 2018.[2] He obtained a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from Manhattanville College[3] and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.[4] Schimmel is a resident of Worcester, MA.[5]

Career

Schimmel was an Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Young Diplomatic Seminar Mid-Atlantic Representative in 2011.[6]

From 2010 until 2016, Schimmel was Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester, & Salem Counties.[7] Since 2016, he has been Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Central MA. Schimmel was part of Leadership Worcester 2022 cohort.[8]

Schimmel hosts a YouTube show titled Fedmail. As of January 2025, his channel has received more than 14,000 views.[9]

Schimmel was profiled by the Worcester Business Journal in 2020, Forty under 40. Schimmel has appeared on MA State Senator Harley Chandler's Beacon Hill Chat. Schimmel is a regular contributor to Worcester Telegram & Gazette, The Jim Polito Show, WTAG's Danny Ferrantino Show, and Spectrum News.[10] Schimmel's quotes have appeared in The Boston Globe.[11][12][13][14]
