Kevin McGarry (born March 18, 1985) is a Canadian actor, director, and writer. He is best known for playing Nathan Grant on the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart and Mitch Cutty on CBC's Heartland. McGarry has appeared in over 20 Hallmark television films, including the popular Wedding Veil series. He has also worked as a stage performer, screenwriter, and director.
Early life and education
McGarry was born on March 18, 1985, in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada.[2] He developed an interest in acting by chance during high school when he wandered into a 12th grade theatre class as a freshman.[3] He graduated from George Brown College in 2007 with a degree in creative writing, studied theatre at Fanshawe College, and later trained at Pro Actors Lab in Toronto.[4]

McGarry confirmed his relationship with When Calls the Heart co-star Kayla Wallace in 2020 via Instagram.[7] The couple announced their engagement in 2022 and confirmed their marriage in 2024.[1] They have appeared together in several Hallmark films and have done joint promotional interviews on the Hallmark Channel and the Suspenders Unbuttoned Podcast.[8]
