 María Rosa Fugazot ((1942-12-20)December 20, 1942)[1] is an Argentine actress, comedian, singer and former vedette.

Professional career

Maria made her theater debut at the age of 15, working first in comedy, and then in various genres such as drama and revues.

She later joined the casts of television series and films starring Alberto Olmedo, Jorge Porcel, Susana Giménez and Julio de Grazia. In the 1980s she acted in series directed by the Sofovich brothers.

In 1989 she worked in the comedies of Darío Vittori in the role of Roberta alongside Pachi Armas, María Fiorentino, María José Demare, and Carlos Mena.

She participated in theater plays such as The Cherry Orchard, among others, and in television series such as Passionate and Kachorra.

During the 2000s, she starred in highly successful series such as Sleeping with My Boss, The Roldáns, and Desperate Housewives. In 2008, she made her last film appearance to date in No Love Is Perfect, by Pablo Sofovich. And in 2011 and 2012, she had prominent roles in The Pointer and Sos My Man, respectively.

In 2012, she participated in her son Javier Caumont's album Así es mi amor. She performed with him Si a veces hablo de ti,[2] which won the Diploma of Excellence at the 2013 International Song Festival in California, USA.

In 2014, she took on the role left vacant by leading actress Norma Pons, which established them both as great dramatic actresses: Bernarda Alba in the play The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca.
