Piero Di Pasquale in 2020

Pietro Vincenzo di Pasquale (born 30 October 1950 in Marino, Lazio), known professionally as Piero di Pasquale, is an Italian journalist, television author, writer, and entrepreneur. He began his media career in the late 1970s, during the liberalisation of Italian broadcasting, contributing to early private media initiatives before joining RAI, Italy’s national public broadcasting company, in 1982. He co-authored the historical television series La Notte della Repubblica with Sergio Zavoli.[1]

As Director and Host of NEXT on Rai News 24, he conducted over 1300 in-depth interviews with individuals from the fields of politics, science, and culture.[2]

During his career, he wrote several essays and stories, including La Società del Computer (1983, Eri/Mondadori)[3] and Hezbollah: Partito di Dio o Partito del Diavolo (2012, Koinè Editore).[4] Among his international recognitions is the Best Documentary Film award from the Film Advisory Board of Hollywood.[5]

After leaving Rai, he co-founded MANIMA,[6] a social-purpose startup with Carolina Guthmann, aimed at preserving the ancient Italian art of hand embroidery.[7]
