Dr. Divya S. Iyer (born 16 October 1984) is an Indian bureaucrat, physician and a writer who belongs to the Indian Administrative Service in Kerala.[1][2][3] In 2014, Divya secured all India rank of 48 in the Civil Services Examination. She served as the Sub-Collector of Trivandrum during the period of 2016 - 2018.[4][5]

Early life and Education
Divya was born on 16 October 1984 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala to father Sesha Iyer, a retired ISRO employee, and Bhagavathy Ammal, an SBT employee.[8] She completed her school education from Holy Angels Convent, Thiruvananthapuram and M.B.B.S from the Christian Medical College Vellore. Divya has appeared UPSC exam twice. In her first attempt in 2012, she got through the Indian Revenue Service but she is not content with the result, she attempted the examination again in the year of 2014 and secured an All India Rank of 48.[9]
Personal life
On 30 June 2017, she married Congress MLA representing Aruvikkara constituency, KS Sabarinathan in Kumarakovil, a temple at Thuckalay in Kanyakumari district, becoming the first MLA-IAS couple in Kerala.[10] On 9 march 2019, she gave birth to a baby boy.[11] Divya is currently serving in Kerala as the Mission Director of the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA.[12][13]
Career
- Divya got trained as Assistant Collector under Collector Bhandari Swagat Ranveerchand[14] IAS in Kottayam District. During her training, she was keenly involved in the conduct of Assembly election. She focused on spreading awareness about the voting rights of the public.[15]
- She served as the Sub-Collector of Thiruvananthapuram.[16]
- Divya is currently serving in Kerala as the Mission Director of the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA.[12]

- In 2016, Divya co-edited the book Applied Diplomacy: Through the Prism of Mythology, published by Wisdom Tree. ISBN 9788183283816
- In 2021, Divya translated Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions to Malayalam with the title ETHRAYUM PRIYAPPETTAVALK ORU FEMINIST MANIFESTO.[21]
