Legalization of cannabis

Hey Bri! you commented on my edit that I should discuss the sources in the talkpage, what do you mean by that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eduardo Magdalena (talkcontribs) 16:30, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Beauty pageant notability

Hi Bri, I see that you prodded a number of holders of the "Miss Belgium" beauty pageant title just over a week ago, mostly as "BLP1E". I had thought that there was a consensus that winners of national beauty pageant titles were considered notable, but am I wrong in this? --Andreas Philopater (talk) 16:31, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm contending that if the consensus ever existed, it was local and it's been changed. The Roxanne Allison Baeyens bundled AfD resulted in 18 BLP1E articles deleted, which I read as a pretty strong community-wide decision. ☆ Bri (talk) 17:11, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think you might be stretching your reading of that unduly. The AfD was about a regional title, not a national title. --Andreas Philopater (talk) 18:30, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought you might be right about national level winners. Apologies, I was busy this morning publishing The Signpost. You can de-PROD them without my objection. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:18, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, you're probably referring to Noémie Happart, Annelies Törös, Elena Castro Suarez which have been deleted by now. I think the pageant notability guideline is in conflict with BLP1E and I'm not sure how a WP:REFUND would be handled. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:22, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
On third thought I am sticking with my initial logic. Note especially that Wikipedia:WikiProject Beauty Pageants/Notability (beauty pageant participants) is inactive/historical; and that I have objected to its wording here in stating its criteria in absolute terms. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:28, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I recently saw your work at signpost and i saw that your have an experience to help me. Please help and guide me on writing my first signpost draft. Tbiw (talk) 15:46, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tbiw, thanks for your interest. Have you seen the Quick Start page for The Signpost? You may also want to see the current assignments at Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/About#The Signpost team. (Note that I'm not the editor-in-chief, just a regular active volunteer.) ☆ Bri (talk) 18:15, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The map for the legality of cannabis by U.S. jurisdiction

Hi there! I saw that you recently updated the map used in the article Legality of cannabis by U.S. jurisdiction, and there are two more states now that need to be updated: Arizona approved Proposition 207, which legalizes recreational cannabis, and Mississippi approved Initiative 65, which legalizes medical cannabis. I came to ask if you would be able to update these two or tell me how to so we can make sure the map is accurate, since I'm not good with this sort of thing.

Thanks so much! :) TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 05:44, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like another editor caught up with the map overnight. Cheers ☆ Bri (talk) 14:17, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Varisha Khan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NPOL as a local political figure without significant press coverage; city councilmembers are only notable in the largest city for a given metro area

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Hello Bri,

A chart of the 2020 New Page Patrol Queue

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Reviewer of the Year

John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.

NPP Technical Achievement Award

As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Delete non-notable beauty queen pages & blocked the sock-puppet user creator

Same pages as Laura Olascuaga cases was created by one same sock-puppet user (User:Lukewin & User:Kenneth Saclote) they trying to use false information and spread Hoax by creating these pages same as happen to Laura Olascuaga. This pages down below are not even a notable persons in the industry. How come a page only has a 2 references only, and the reference wasn't legitimate too. User:Lukewin also changing names so many times (changing username from User:CCstrong to User:Adachiii & changing username from User:Adachiii to User:Lukewin, which is suspicious as he has a 3 different names for the sake of disguised as a new name user to create hoax of that non-notable pages. Both of User:Lukewin & User:Kenneth Saclote also suspected doing socket-puppet before, under the same suspect > User:Shawntheshipper, INVESTIGATION 1 by User:4thfile4thrank & INVESTIGATION 2 by User:I Nyoman Gede Anila.I think this Sock-puppet users should be blocked from creating non-notable beauty queen pages by using hoax and not legitimate reference.
