Also edited for grammar. Edited out passage about "the patent application." There is no reference for this passage. Besides, Telechrome patent 562,168 doesn't describe or name a 1,000-line system. Baird mentioned the 1,000-line figure to the Hankey Television Committee. In this section, I've also sharpened the syntax of the first three paragraphs. Removed reference to "Baird, 1944." This reference seems to connect to the Wireless World article. But that article doesn't quote Baird or his testimony before the Hankey Committee. Also, the reference is inappropriate for my own guesses about how a Telechrome system might work with the EMI / BBC television system. undo
