I started a stub on him, feel free to expand/improve.

An article on him might be a WP:BLP1E problem. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 00:16, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
McNamee is a central witness, not a bystander. no? Kingturtle (talk) 00:20, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you're saying. Do you mean that it isn't a WP:BLP1E problem if the person is notable for being a witness? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 01:05, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a "relatively unimportant crime". This is a very prominent event and he's become a very prominent name associated with it. This isn't a BLP or a notability problem.
Equazcionargue/improves01:18, 12/18/2007
I spoke too soon. "If reliable sources only cover the person in the context of a particular event, then a separate biography may be unwarranted." I'm don't know that there are any sources that cover McNamee in any context other than the Mitchell Report, so it's possible that notability can't be established for him. If not then he should have a redirect to his own section of the Mitchell Report article though.
Equazcionargue/improves01:29, 12/18/2007
They do. I earlier today attached an external link to a Sports Illustrated article about him written November 14, 2006. Kingturtle (talk) 01:41, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The external link is to a story on the same allegations, albeit much earlier and reported by a different source. I hope it still counts though.
Equazcionargue/improves02:02, 12/18/2007
I think that a redirect to a section on him in the Mitchell Report would be most reasonable.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 16:16, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm thinkin' that too.
Equazcionargue/improves16:19, 12/20/2007
Since policy clearly supports this I did a quick merge, rather than posting merge templates and so forth. The wording still needs to be changed more to fit the article, but there it is.

Unfamiliar term[edit]

"Serives"? Copey 2 (talk) 12:28, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was a typo. Fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out. Mahalo. --Ali'i 13:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Bell[edit]

Should Mike Bell be on this list? He was not a Major League Baseball player when he is accused of buying the steroids or any time thereafter. Kinston eagle (talk) 12:03, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't see why we should make such a distinction. If he was a Major League Baseball player and he was listed in the Mitchell Report we would have to include him unless we rename the article. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 22:48, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2003 list[edit]

Not really sure where to put this (I'm new to Wiki), but I think the 2003 list needs its own page, especially with it causing such big news in recent months. I came to wiki in search of an article on, looking for a list of those confirmed to be on it. Nothing, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.35.10 (talk) 02:32, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger[edit]

Per the suggestions and closing comments here, I would suggest that the deleted partially redundant page be merged into this page. I recognize that it will be difficult for those who have not seen the prior list to comment, unless an ability to view it is restored in some fashion [The deleted list which we are discussing merging in to this list can be seen here, for the duration of this merge discussion -- after which it should be deleted.]--Epeefleche (talk) 18:14, 1 October 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Ultimately, if anyone with skill beyond mine can do it, it would be best for it to be in tabular sortable format. Comments by others are welcome. Feel free to share your thoughts below.

  • Merge. Per discussion at AfD, set forth above.--Epeefleche (talk) 18:14, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
