Benson's daughter was not murdered.[edit]

The Lyric Benson who was murdered several years ago is NOT the daughter of actor Robby Benson. His daughter is alive and well.Monkeyzpop (talk) 04:19, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Contributions[edit]

I would like to contribute to this page, and I have added a brief paragraph with additional credits, including links. I notice that pages have not been created for the films "Lucky Lady" and "The Death of Richie". I will create them soon if nobody else does. Comments welcome! Why is it that whenever the movie, "Boy in the Plastic Bubble," comes up a controversy follows about whether the lead was played by John Travolta or Robby Benson? It was Travolta, but a lot of people associate it with Benson. Has anyone else experienced this phenomena? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.181.24.159 (talk) 02:29, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion changed[edit]

I changed "by providing the voice of Beast which was completely unrecognizable as Benson's" because I recognized him without knowing I wasn't supposed to be able to. :) I heard him singing the duet with Belle and was very impressed by how great he sounds! Anyway, I made the sentence more obviously an opinion, albeit still unsourced.71.49.80.159 19:30, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose merging Modern Love (1990 film) into this article. The article is a stub w/ nothing much beyond a "hook/logline" type plot section and a cast list. It barely passes GNG and the movie doesn't seem particularly notable. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 23:51, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

KEEP There are 2 reviews, LA Times and TV Guide, present in the article. That is enough for WP:NFILM. No reason for redirect, especially to the director. The state of the article is irrelevant if citations exist, which they do. There is also a review at Radio Times [1]. DonaldD23 talk to me 00:28, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The "two reviews" rule is only one of five different criteria listed to prove notability and even then, NFILM states that meeting those criteria "is not an absolute guarantee that Wikipedia should have a separate, stand-alone article entirely dedicated to the film." Looks to me like this movie sank w/o a trace, so let's not waste our efforts memorializing this bit of pop culture detritus. I think WP:INDISCRIMINATE supports my argument. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 06:25, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Whether or not a film "sank" or was successful is not a reason for deletion. There are 3 reviews that are found online, which means the film garnered attention and it is enough for WP:GNG even if you don't think it passes WP:NFILM. Your arguement sounds more like personal opinon ("Looks to me like..."). Merging to Robby's article seems arbitrary seeing as other well-known individuals are involved. Do we waste our efforts and add the information to Burt's/Rue's/etc articles too? This article needs expansion, not deletion or merging. DonaldD23 talk to me 17:44, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
