April 4, 2009 edits[edit]

I did the following edits, mainly for appearance but with some substantive additions:

  • Added two sections on German occupation and the SD;
  • Resized the pictures to thumbs (crowding out the text)
  • Switched from a Holocaust infobox on the right margin with a similar navbox at the end, again, this was crowding the text
  • Broke up the article into a more detailed heading structure.
  • Added a much longer list of references (these are from Rumbula massacre.
  • There was some minor text reshuffling, nothing major.Mtsmallwood (talk) 04:13, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 24, 2009 edits[edit]

I did the following edits:

  • Added two sections originally from Rumbula massacre. These have a more general application beyond the scope of that article. The historiography section should be expanded to cover more of the topic than Rumbula.
  • I eliminated some sections which had only internal links that were already covered in the navbox and shuffled around a couple images.
  • Other than the links sections, I did not alter any of the existing text.Mtsmallwood (talk) 03:39, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The context[edit]

On the eve of June 14, 1941, an unrelenting sequence of prisoner massacres and Siberian deportations came to a head when over 15,000 “blacklisted” people disappeared, essentially annihilating Riga’s elite in one fell swoop. https://www.thedailybeast.com/secret-kgb-torture-house-opens-its-doors-in-riga Xx236 (talk) 09:09, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
