I'll review this article over the next day or two. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 15:03, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've written the initial review. A few small things that need to be fixed. The only major one is that the "critical response" section needs to be rewritten, as it's currently just a collection of quotes. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:31, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
11JORN this review has been open for over a week. Are you interested in bringing it to GA, or should I close the review as unsuccessful? Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:01, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thebiguglyalien Hi! Actually I've been a little busy, I think I'm gonna be able to fix the issues tomorrow. Is that OK? Alex reach me! 19:55, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
11JORN yeah, there's no rush. I just wanted to see what your plan was. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 22:54, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thebiguglyalien I think all the issues have been addressed. Take a look. Alex reach me! 02:29, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like all of the criteria are met. I would still prefer more paraphrasing in the critical response section, but that's not enough to hold it back from GA. I'll pass the review now. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:12, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well-written
  • The main issue here is that the critical response section uses too many quotes. This is a common issue with music articles, and WP:RECEPTION is a helpful guide for fixing this.
  • pursued through the water by an ominous figure – This phrase is used twice, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice of wording. The citation is broken, so I can't check what it says.
  • Who or what is Within a Dream? This needs more context.
  • it was suggested that if anyone had any good ideas for covers – This does not make sense grammatically. A better wording might be "it was asked if anyone had ideas for cover songs".
  • Dave Seaman, a member of British duo Brothers in Rhythm, felt the song was a "perfect fit" for the record – It should clarify that he was a producer so the reader isn't confused.
  • Frankie Knuckles and David Morales' classic musical elements – It isn't clear what this means. Maybe say that they "drew on their previous work" or something like that.
Verifiable with no original research
  • The album version of "Where Is the Feeling?" received positive reviews from music critics, who described it as "soulful". – Quotes should be cited, even if they're in the lead. In this case, it should only be in the lead if this is a consensus among critics rather than just a quote from one critic.
  • The sources seem to indicate that Brothers in Rhythm were only involved in the single version, but the article doesn't make that distinction.
They actually produced both versions Alex reach me! 02:29, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • What makes AdrianDenning.co.uk a reliable source?

  • Goodall & Stanley-Clarke 2012 is not associated with a source.

Spotchecks:

  • [1] Harrison (2015) – Good, but make sure the words in the article aren't too similar to the source.
  • [4] Harrison (2014) – This source doesn't support some of the things in its first use. A minor issue if it's covered by the other citations there, but it's worth noting. Other use is good.
  • [8] Martin (2020) – This doesn't seem to be relevant in its first use. The other two uses are good.
  • [9] Jones (1995) – The article steals the wording of "heavy use of orchestra" from the source, which creates a plagiarism issue. Otherwise good.
  • [15] Adams (2018) – Good.
