Siege of Djibo

  • @Applodion: thank you for this well written article on this important and under-reported topic. The article is compliant with the DYK requirements and is new enough. The hook is within policy. My only concern is that the way the hook is written implies it was the rebels using the term “Ukranian death”, but the source says it was a pro-government commentator. How about the below? • ALT1... that the Jihadist Burkinabè rebels' ongoing Siege of Djibo has been described as a "Ukrainian death"?
@Onceinawhile: Thanks for the review. I'm ok with the ALT1 hook; though I would like to note that, as far as I understood it, the rebels actually used the term "Ukranian death" (which would not be surprising, considering that the Russo-Ukrainian War has received a lot of attention in Africa). The pro-government commentator claimed that he had heard them saying it. However, the ALT1 hook is generally more neutral, so it is probably better. Applodion (talk) 10:34, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Thanks Applodion, that makes sense. Onceinawhile (talk) 10:46, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
