WikiProject Animals To-do:

Scope[edit]

I created this template to get rid of all of the unlinked articles about "times of day" in relation to animals. It's not only about humans, and I intentionally left out some topics (e.g., Photosensitivity in humans, List of nocturnal birds) to prevent bloating. I don't want this template to get out of control. Template rename[edit]

Thinking about renaming this article.

Shortlist
  • Biology and parts of a day
  • Ethology and parts of a day
  • Animals and parts of the day
  • Biology topics on parts of a day
  • Behavioral ecology and parts of a day

I am not sure if I want to broaden the scope to include plants, behavioural sciences, etc. StevePrutz (talk) 18:24, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Added to list. StevePrutz (talk) 18:26, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Convert to sidebar?[edit]

I changed the style recently, (info in editsummary), to make it a standard full-width page-end navbox.

Now I'm wondering if perhaps it would be better converted into a {{Sidebar}} template?

Here's a mockup, which includes a few link order-changes, and a retitle/addition of Chronobiology, and removes the link to Ethology (all arguable).

The main thing I'm not sure about, is the image - we could potentially turn it into an Extension:ImageMap, but it's still kinda confusing having so much duplication. However the image is very helpful for understanding the ideas overall.

I'm not sure what the best solution is. Notes here for everyone to ponder. :) —Quiddity (talk) 00:43, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
