Add some major former countries?

[edit]

Ex. Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Austro-Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Holy Roman Empire...? Ones that do not have a clear modern equivalent and are likely to have relevant subarticles that are 'topics'. Ex. I am adding this template to entries in Category:Science fiction by nationality and stumbled upon Yugoslav science fiction which currently has no place in the template. Or consider Economy of Czechoslovakia. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:11, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The template series only includes current entities for pragmatic reasons, extending them back in time expands their scope immensely. CMD (talk) 12:48, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting that the last two categories of the template, being territories with limited recognition and dependencies, be removed as no pages exist with Assyrians in these respective areas. Surayeproject3 (talk) 15:40, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done: This is a general template, but you can use "|countries_only=yes" on the page you want to change. CMD (talk) 16:29, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Andorra and San Marino from the template. Andorra doesn't have a cathedral within its borders, with the Spanish Diocese of Urgell serving as ecclesiastical seat for that country. San Marino does have one co-cathedral, but again, it'll never merit a "list of" article. Fernando 17:17, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done: This is a general wrapper template, however please see the documentation for how to suppress individual entries on the page you refer to and others. CMD (talk) 19:22, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, could an editor with more experience kindly add National symbols of Armenia to the following template (its currently red linked)? {{Europe topic}}

Thank you in advance, Archives908 (talk) 20:15, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Archives908: just fyi, all that was needed was a redirect at Symbols of Armenia to target National symbols of Armenia. That has been  completed. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 20:26, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change:

Diff:

[[National Archives of Liechtenstein|Liechtenstein]]
+
[[Liechtenstein National Archives|Liechtenstein]]

swap redirect for actual page name on national archives European template. TheBritinator (talk) 18:26, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done: To editor TheBritinator: this template cannot be changed in this way. This template is a general type that is governed by its |prefix= parameter. For example, in the Liechtenstein National Archives article, this template's prefix is "National Archives of", so all of the entries' links begin with that prefix. This is why the National Archives of Liechtenstein redirect was created in the first place. It's creation turned the Liechtenstein link from a red link to a blue link. It cannot be changed. Understood. Thanks for the information. TheBritinator (talk) 21:35, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please add Template:List of supermarket chains in Europe to the list, I cannot, as the page is protected.
